Entwickler, Admin ![]() Registriert seit: Feb 2006 Beiträge: 2837 Ort: Ostfriesland | Hello, I have added an english navigation bar in the wiki. A lot of pages are only in german. You can help us, adding some english pages. The wiki-login is the same as your forum-login. English wiki pages have to start with "en/", like "en/MikroKopter". To create a new page, just type the name in the addressbar of your browser . (for example: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/DummyPage ) Bye, Ingo _______________ http://www.mikrocontroller.com - http://www.MikroKopter.com - http://www.microSPS.com |

I don't believe that to be completely correct. Most important pages are all reasonably well translated in the Wiki but some links could be improved to avoid ending up in German pages again, or consistently showing a link from a German page to the corresponding English page if it exists or should be developed. In any case I-ve posted a number of direct links to pages in the Multicopter build thread there (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=716870&page=147). At the same time, it would be good if the "Internationals" really put some effort into updating and expanding the English documentation. So herewith another call for volunteers ![]() |

I already fly Draganflyers. Your help is appreciated. Sorry, I do not speak German. Links are appreciated. Thank you in advance - - CF |

| Mitglied Registriert seit: May 2007 Beiträge: 678 | Hi CF, There are a number of US flyers who sometimes post here in the International area. Most however also post in the multikopter build thread in RCGroups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=716870 It is a bit of a large thread with over 2270 posts and over 97000 views ;=)) But posting there will immediately connect you to US fellows. Of course you're very wellcome to ask for help here as well as almost everybody here can respond in English. Just start your own thread here in the International area, give a litte intro and some specific questions, and we'll hapilly respond. |

| Mitglied Registriert seit: May 2007 Beiträge: 678 | I-m having a horrible time with the formatting of the WiKi pages. Every time I format a page it loses a level of line breaks so the texts starts collecting in single paragraphs. Inserting [[BR]] helps a little but screws up bulleted lists. Copying from Word documents causes errors and the editing is then not saved. Working from text files is not really convenient. This really is not stimulating good use of the Wiki. If I edit a page on the Wiki it should retain its formatting corrctly. Would it be possible to improve the Wiki software on the MK site with an editor which works properly ? |

Mitglied ![]() Registriert seit: Nov 2007 Beiträge: 410 Ort: Arona - Italy | Hi! am making a page about my MK building process in order to guide other users who are a bit at aloss about what steps are necessary to make a MK. See here: http://www.mikrokopter.com/ucwiki/en/ddrake Problem is: how do i link english pages in the wiki? When i use terms like FlightCtrl or BrushlessCtrl obviously its the German pages that get linked. Should i set a tag in the page to specify language? Thank you! |

Entwickler, Admin ![]() Registriert seit: Feb 2006 Beiträge: 2837 Ort: Ostfriesland | Hi, You should copy everything from the original page (select 'Edit' and just copy it into the clipboard) (in TEXT MODE, don't use the GUI editor !) Then you create a new empty page (do not use a template) and paste the content (again in text mode) English wiki pages have to start with "en/", like "en/MikroKopter". (use /it/ for italian and so on) To create a new page, just type the name in the addressbar of your browser . (for example: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/DummyPage ) And now start translating... _______________ http://www.mikrocontroller.com - http://www.MikroKopter.com - http://www.microSPS.com |

There is much interest on the MK project in Italy but German language remains a deterrent. Do you plan to translate pages in the shop too someday? There are legal restrictions which makes it very difficult for us. So I don't think, that we will translate the articles to english in our shop directly. It should be allowed to use the wiki to give some more informations about the articles in english and link to the shop articles... _______________ http://www.mikrocontroller.com - http://www.MikroKopter.com - http://www.microSPS.com |

Mitglied ![]() Registriert seit: Nov 2007 Beiträge: 410 Ort: Arona - Italy | Ich auch! For the italians: http://www.mikrokopter.com/ucwiki/it/IstruzioniCostruzione Still have to check some links. Where possible i want to link to English pages rather than German ones because English is more widely known in Italy. I added some comments on my part, marked with 'ndt' (note by translator in Italian). I hope it is ok. I can't find in the wiki help pages the inclusion syntax, how do I change it so that it will include the English page? ( http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/MK-Parameter/Camera ) i tried the obvious: [[Include(^en/MK-Parameter/Camera, ,1,from="^= Camera =$",to="^----$")]] already but with no success. Entwickler, Admin ![]() Registriert seit: Feb 2006 Beiträge: 2837 Ort: Ostfriesland | Hello,
This will include en/MK-Parameter/Camera from = Camera = to ---- in your page. The problem is, that in en/MK-Parameter/Camera the ---- is missing at the end of the page. Please compare to MK-Parameter/Camera ---- for a link to the german page just add at the top of the page ||<tablewidth="300px" tablestyle="TEXT-ALIGN: center"bgcolor="#ffffa0"> http://mikrokopter.de/images/deu.gif Seite in [:Firmware-0.76e:deutsch] || _______________ http://www.mikrocontroller.com - http://www.MikroKopter.com - http://www.microSPS.com « Bearbeitet von IngoB am 31.10.2009 16:32. » |
