| Entwickler, Admin Registriert seit: Feb 2006 Beiträge: 4360 Ort: Ostfriesland | Hello, we developed and tested some new features in the last month. Now it works stable and we can release the software soon. To unleash your imagination, I made a video last weekend: Video:externer Link:
(with english undertitle) Here on older Video of a POI-Test. Point of Interest The idea of "Point of interest (POI)" is to point the camera of the MikroKopter to a specific object or position. The yaw-direction and the camera angle will point move in that case. We had this feature in mind for a long time and now it works fine. Point of Interest via KopterToolThe POI can be choosen on the MAP How does it work? The NaviControll needs the following informations for this feature: * GPS-Position of the POI * altitude of the POI Depending on the own position and altitude, the MikroKopter can calculate the angles. The Altitude of the POI can also be selected via Koptertool. In case of using the POI-Transmitter, the POI-Altitude is fix 1m, because the GPS-Altitude is too unreliable. Later that could be done by a second FlightControl or even a second MikroKopter as POI-Transmitter. Further information will come with the next software-release. More Information in the WikiDeutsche Version dieses Beitrags hierRegards, Holger « Bearbeitet von HolgerB am 21.03.2011 18:27. » |

It seems to be a part of the waypoint system.. That you set the last waypoint to 0 m's height and the sink-rate to the lowest possible value. |

Correct, via waypoints. I set the target altitude of the last waypoint to -30m and the sinking rate to 1m/sek. |

I'm sure many will be looking at the auto landing feature, msybea separate setup doc and video could be made to allow a full understanding of its application for waypoint tour return or a failsafe option. |

The only remark is maybe you should consider also working on realiablity , redundancy features , because this nice features will be used and enjoyed by dozens while evrybody would benefit from redundancy (2xi2c, maybe dual Fc, dual battery or whatever you come with) .
regards ! |

Hmm, have you tried the new firmware, since you can state this? |

For sure ... i aways use the most new firmware and all have the same problem. In cross-wind the WP and PH not work fine. In high wind the WP only work if the radius is set to big value like 20. put 5 meter and Mk never reach the waypoints. Some weeks ago i see a big comercial multirotor vant and the WP work perfect. The H&H never talk about this problem but it exist. |

Would be great to be able to combine 'Auto landing' PIO with the 'Come Home' switch (and do that on failure of radio signal :-) ) |

But am also a bit disappointed... when will teleport be implemented?????? |

Oh ooohhh. Please don't start this discussion again. People almost killed eachother on that one. ;-) but for your satisfaction: If you lose your radiosignal: It wil stay in your home...country and, sometimes it takes some time buy it WILL always make an autoland. isn't that great? ;-)) |

You "can" do that already by having the failsafe engage AH and Ch But yes, it could be more elegantly done with waypoints.. |

Same here; this feature has been there also from the start. Fly it out of range until you don't see it anymore and you wil find it back on eBay some time later. Amazing |

| MK-Betatester Registriert seit: Oct 2007 Beiträge: 532 Ort: Wuppertal | Unfortunately using jeti-RX, failsafe works only up to 8 channels. So I loose 4 channels by that, not implemented, security feature :-( |

Yep, hope that the reciever will be upgraded sometime |

| Mitglied Registriert seit: May 2010 Beiträge: 123 Ort: UK | You cant do failsafe with just satellite receivers - using the channel expander I get 12 channels out of my DX7 and dont fancy the cost of a full 12 channel TX. I cant use jeti with the expander so thats out of the question. |
