I am seting up a SkyJib 8 and i found the AXI 4120-20 almost 60 euros cheaper than other stores.
I just whant to share it with you guys.

With 2 x 5S 8000 mAh for a good flight time, you will have 5 kg weight only for motors, batteries and the cabling.


and only 465 Kv ... what kind of propellers do you want to use?

Two details:

1) The optimal load is 13 - 37 A, 52 is peak for 60s max time.

2) In order to use it you will need a expensive powerboard with modified bls.

I am planning to use XOAR PJP Sport Prop Type A "Carbon Fiber" 13x6,5 propellers.
Maybe 14x7 Propellers.

Why do you want to do that?

With this motors and 14x7 propellers, the maximum thrust will be 2,48 kg.

The motors have a very low rpm/volt (KV) and the propellers are to small for this big motor.

My recommendation is: Motors with higher KV or increase the diameter of the propellers.

I don't recommend this motor AXI 4120/20, they are far too heavy and not as efficient as the 3 (high-end) ones:
- Kontronix KORA 25-16
- Plettenberg 15-20
- Plettenberg 20-18
For a 100€/150€ price per unit, though.

I don't recommend AXI --26 serie either, not efficient enough, dropping to a low 70% with (badly choosen) some propellers.

Actually, it is not a belief, just a level of performance to reach, and compare with other mot/prop setup.

Tell me the propeller you mount on it, will get the performance, efficiency etc...
Lot of weight, lot of amps.

I am not a specialist.
I am following the recomendations of Droidworx / Kopterworx / Aerodron people.
I already payed for that Axi 4120-20 on Aerodron site and now you make me feel confused about my choice.

Plettenberg 15-20 are 100 Euros more.

I dont think SkyJib have space for a bigger propeller than 14" and i think a low KV will not be a problem as the BL-Control will have more sensitive control over the RPM. I think the only difference is a bigger control input from the Bls for the same result. More V from BL = more RPM.
The AXI 4120-20 can handle high rotation and the result can be a smoth operation.

What do you think about best propeller in the SkyJib frame and Axi 4120-20.

Krleas, i am going to buy the SkyJib Frame with you as you have the best price .

SkyJib goes with 15 inch props. For 4120-20 motors i got good results wit 15x6, 15x7 xoar props.

Will tell u more next week when i get few aerodrive 8 boards.

I will check the 15x7 Xoar Krleas.

I will use 2 x Nanotech 5000 65-130 C 5S lipos on that SkyJib.
What is the thrust i can expect with 15x7 Krleas ?

The Orbit 15-20 ist not is not in the price list of Plettenberg. It was my idea to develop the 15-20, working together with Plettenberg. It was designed to work with the MK BL-Ctrl 2.0 (5S and a maximum current of 40 A).
A maximum thrust of 3 kg with 15x4 propellers is possible.
The price is 159,- € inkl. 19% tax.

Together 300 amps, flying time will be very low only few min.

i will go with 3x 5s 8000mA

Bad thing is the Axi 4120-20 are already on the way.
I will try to use the Orbit 15-20 in the next projects.

But 4120-20 can not be that bad, can it ?

No, not bad, but you have to find the best propeller combination for this motors.
