I´m trying to load the X8 mkm file provided in the wiki http://wiki.mikrokopter.de/mkm ( this one: http://gallery3.mikrokopter.de/uploads/Screenshot-2014-07-19-17_44_32).
I don´t get the orientation graphics, just the red arrow inside MKTools. Not able to start motors. The motors are wired according to the direction in the mkm, runs in the correct directions in the MKTools´motortest.

Could someone PLEASE with sugar and cream, point me to a solution here? There seems to be a lot of X8´s flying. Greatly appreciated.

have you calibrated the acc, gyro and compass ?
are you trying to start the right way (motor switch and such)?

Haha, too funny. I haven´t updated my other MK since the "new" feature with starting motors with both sticks were implemented. Now I just got to get rid of the magnet error that occurs after starting the motors, hopefully badly compass calibrated ;) Again, thanks for the effort.

How is this configuration working?

I´ve seen the Devourer 130 from foxtech wich claims 38 minutes flight time with zenmuse and GH4 or 20 minutes with 7kg payload, all with the monster 28 inches props, and I´m jelous :D

I love my octo, but with 11 inches props you can´t get more than 10 minutes, X8 are the only way to have motor redundancy and big and efficient props for long flight times. Well you could build a frame for big props and flat config, but then will need a truck for transport

I never bothered about X8 configurations because there are many comments about how inefficient they are, but I guess with props that big, any inefficiency due to the configuration is more than compensated with the big props
