Hi,
i have built my first custom Mikrokopter in Okto version. I have question: I would like to have + configuration- one arm in front. I have not found this setup in Mixer setting. Should I use Okto1 or Okto2 mixer setup version. All arms have the same length. It is not possible to set this orientation in Okto1 mixer but I'm not sure, if I can use Okto2, because all arms on my octo are the same length.
Thank you

I think in your case with an okto with all arms same length, you can use the Okto.mkm and then turn it in the Mixer setup to have the heading on Motor 1.

I had the same problem the other way round. I wanted an Hexa X, so I used the Hexa.mkm and turned the red arm ccw in the software to x position.

A tip I stumbled upon and it nearly broke my neck.
Compass Calobration no matter what seting you have is always done in +, means even if ya have a Koptertool setting which differs from +, you should always calibrate with e the arm that holds motor 1 in north direction.

ya have been faster ;) and obviously I am a beginner, but would it be possible as explained in my previous post too? And does it make any difference in this case?

Well it workz with me ;)

As said I have a Hexa, use the normal + mkm and have placed the arrow between 1 and 6 so one step ccw.
To change the FC for me would mean have an extra ring to turn it, the are no default holes on the centerplate for FC in Hex X orientation.

Doen't bother, it workz for me with Hexa X and as you have experience with Okto +, MartinRe should rather follow your advice ;)

I agree with oktorider, my first onto was + configuration and I used the okto2 mixer with no problems.

I'm flying an X8 and have always done the compass calibration with the front of the X8 pointing north.
