Hello,

we have a new product: CamCtrl

User image

Shoplink

It is an improved LANC-Interface which supports the new SONY Multi protocol.
So, it supports the Sony Alpha series like a5000/a6000 or the DSLR

The new CamCtrl will be connected to the I2C-Bus Molex Connector of a NC 2.1
In Addition, the CamCtrl still has the PPM-Inputs (if required).

Features:
- Start/Stopp Video
- Trigger Photos
- Zoom
- switch on the camera automatically
- avoid Sleep-mode of the camera
- PAL Output (only the camcorders with LANC have PAL)
- external Status LED can be connected

And the CamCtrl shows the status of the camera and transmits it to the MK
There is a camera-status symbol in the HoTT/Jeti/KopterTool telemetry

Status data
- REC active
- Zoom active
- xxx photos shot
- Camera is off (or batt empty)
- Camcorder is in Photo-Mode and can't capture Video
- Cable to camera disconnected

The Status Symbol is a character and shows:
c = camera is ready
R = Record active
P = Cam in Photo mode (LANC Camcorders)
! = Camera is off but connected
? = disconnected
0-9 = Photo releases

Example

-> "R" means: REC
-> "4" means -> x photos taken

Two channels can be assigned in the Settings.

We will have 4 different versions:
- LANC with PPM-Cables
- LANC with I2C-Cable only
- MULTI with PPM-Cables
- MULTI with I2C-Cable only

Hi Holger!

Great job, this is exactly what I have been looking for.

I have a compact sized gimbal for my A5000. The multi connector does not fit there with the camera in place. Is it possible to have a 90 degree connector, which would route the cable directly towards the back of the camera?

I also need a 90 degree connector, to make it fit in my bl- gimbal. Is there a connector like this available?
